St. Stephen the Protomartyr

A blessed feast of the Protomartyr to all of you! And yes, that is my father in the picture to the left...he really was a pitcher!

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas! God bless us, everyone! In this year's Christmas sermon I am afraid that you will find a rather weary priest allowing Charles Dickens to flavor some of his thoughts on the true meaning of Christmas - yet, of course, only insofar as it accords with the true Faith of the Holy Church of God!

May your 12 Days of Christmas continue along in blessed and grand style! Please check back soon for (God willing) St. Stephen's and St. John's day homilies!

The Third Sunday of Advent

Our good and faithful Father Deacon Michael delivered a wonderful homily this morning, and we caught this audio at the 10:00 mass. One seldom stops to think of the reaction of John the Baptist's disciples in the whole mix, now, does one? Listen to what Father Deacon had to say by listening in the dandy little embedded player above!

Later today, at Zion Church in Brimfield, Father Thomas had a few things to say about St. Lucy, whose feast fell on this Gaudete Sunday. You can listen in this dandy little embedded player below!

The Second Sunday of Advent

For those who had been asking, the "three things to do" that I have been rambling on about the past two weeks are:

1. Daily study of Holy Scripture.
2. Daily prayer.
3. Deliberate action to follow Christ more closely.

Don't wear yourselves out!
